Pasadena Weekly ("Bananas Foster" review 2010)

Classically styled pop wrapped in springy melodies and kitschy, Chiquita
Banana-yellow packaging. Frontman Dennis Davison’s limber tenor shifts
easily between winsome ballads like “Crazy Legs” and elegantly arranged
curios such as “David Hart’s Name of Song,” which wonders, “Is the
universe, including man, evolved by atomic force?” while referencing
wooden statues, blue raccoons and gospel tunes. Highlights: “Melancholy
Morning,” “Choreography Killed the Cat,” the stomping “Where the Action Isn’t.”
